The Italian Thai Youth Orchestra (ITYO) has been founded in 2018, under the artistic direction of Alberto Firrincieli, with the support and under the patronage of the Embassy of Italy. Its first performance ever coincided with the very day of the 150th Anniversary of the signature of the first Treaty between the Reigns of Italy and Siam in 1868. A second performances has taken place on 1 and 2 October 2019, at Chulalonghorn University, Bangkok. For the occasion, the orchestra has performed Italian baroque repertoire alongside the Italian cellist Marco Frezzato.
